VIP Rewards rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

THE TENNESSEE EDUCATION LOTTERY CORPORATION ("TEL") RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE VIP REWARDS PROGRAM IN ANY WAY AND AT ANY TIME OR TO TERMINATE THE VIP REWARDS PROGRAM WITH APPROPRIATE PUBLIC NOTIFICATION. UNUSED POINTS REMAINING IN A PLAYER'S ACCOUNT AFTER THE ANNOUNCED TERMINATION, CLOSURE OR DEADLINE DATE SHALL BE CONSIDERED EXPIRED, LAPSED AND VOID, AND INELIGIBLE FOR ANY FURTHER USE.

  1. General Provisions
    1. The Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation (“TEL”) will operate the VIP Rewards Program under these VIP Rewards Rules, as defined below.
    2. These VIP Rewards Rules (the “Rules”) are comprised of (1) the Tennessee Education Lottery Implementation Act; (2) the TEL’s policies and procedures governing VIP Rewards, Play It Again! and Second Chance programs; and (3) these VIP Rewards Rules. In the event there is an inconsistency between or among these documents, the document listed first shall be controlling.
    3. By submitting an eligible non-winning instant ticket or any eligible drawing-style game ticket into VIP Rewards, an entrant agrees to be bound by these official Rules.
    4. The TEL may use, without limitation, an entrant's name, hometown, likeness, and/or voice in any promotions, research, marketing, publications, or other advertising media, including, but not limited to, the TEL websites, without compensation or additional release.
    5. The TEL reserves the right to use the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of all entrants for research and marketing purposes.
    6. An entrant must be at least eighteen (18) years old to participate.
    7. Entrants must have a valid U.S. address in order to register and to participate.
  2. Limitations
    1. Responsible play is important to the TEL, and players must understand that the TEL reserves the right to limit (1) the number of tickets any individual may enter during a given period of time; (2) the amount or number of VIP Rewards Points that can be accumulated during a given period of time (the “Accumulation Cap”); and (3) the amount or number of VIP Rewards Points that can be redeemed in a given period of time (the “Redemption Cap”). The initial Accumulation Cap shall be five thousand (5,000) VIP Rewards Points per calendar month. The initial Redemption Cap shall be one hundred thousand (100,000) VIP Rewards Points per calendar year. The TEL may amend these limitations at any time, and from time to time, in its own discretion and without notice.
    2. If a player achieves the Accumulation Cap or the Redemption Cap, the player will be able to register eligible non-winning instant tickets and any eligible drawing-style tickets for the purpose of receiving entries into the respective Play It Again! Drawings or Second Chance Drawings.
  3. VIP Rewards Points
    1. Players earn VIP Rewards Points by entering eligible non-winning instant tickets and any eligible drawing-style tickets online at the VIP Rewards website accessed from www.tnviprewards.com (the “Website”) or on the TN Lottery mobile application (“Mobile App”).
    2. Points are non-monetary numerical values assigned to eligible non-winning instant tickets and any eligible drawing-style tickets that are added to a player’s VIP Rewards Account in exchange for submitting the ticket information on the Website or Mobile App.
    3. A non-winning instant ticket or non-winning drawing-style ticket has no cash value. Winning drawing-style tickets have no cash value other than the lottery prize awarded when the ticket is validated. The VIP Rewards Program is a reward or affinity program, which provides Points for each eligible entry.
    4. Each eligible non-winning instant ticket or eligible drawing-style ticket has an assigned point value.
    5. Points received will be revealed to the entrant on the Website or Mobile App upon successful submission of each eligible non-winning instant ticket or any eligible drawing-style ticket.
    6. Points are not transferable. Point balances from more than one (1) account may not and will not be combined.
    7. Points shall be valid only for TEL-approved activities associated with the VIP Rewards Program.
  4. Point Expiration
    1. The TEL reserves the right to establish, change, or modify Points expiration rules in its sole and absolute discretion at any time.
    2. The TEL will attempt to notify players by email in advance of the expiration of a player's Points. TEL will not be responsible for a failure to provide notice of the expiration of Points.
    3. TEL reserves the right to restore expired or canceled Points at its sole and absolute discretion.
    4. Points remaining in a player’s account after the termination of the VIP Rewards Program shall be null and void, and ineligible for further use.
  5. Eligible Games and Tickets
    1. Instant Tickets. Points are earned only from instant games that are eligible for the Play It Again! and other Second Chance drawing programs. An eligible Play It Again! or Second Chance Drawing ticket is any non-winning instant ticket from any TEL instant game identified on the ELIGIBLE GAMES list on the Website or Mobile App. Winning instant tickets are not eligible to earn VIP Rewards Points or for entry into Play It Again! or Second Chance Drawings.
    2. Drawing-Style Tickets. Winning and non-winning drawing-style tickets are eligible to receive VIP Rewards Points. Points are earned from tickets for drawing-style games as determined by TEL in its sole discretion.
    3. Tickets for a game in which a drawing has been, or will be, conducted may continue to be sold after a drawing.
  6. Registration
    1. To participate in VIP Rewards, a player must register for a free account on the Website or Mobile App. Registration is a one-time process. The TEL may require you to provide additional information in order to maintain your account after you register.
    2. If a player already has a VIP Rewards Account, he or she should not register again, but should use the account login information, established when the account was created.
    3. A player may have no more than one (1) active account. Duplicate accounts registered to the same player may be disabled at the TEL’s discretion. Points associated with accounts so disabled will not be transferred to another account, and shall be void and of no value.
    4. Failure to fully provide required information will cause a player’s request to register to be rejected.
    5. The TEL assumes no responsibility for incorrect information provided or typographical errors by a player in the registration form or for a player’s failure to update account information. A player is responsible for updating account information as needed by logging in and going to his or her account page.
    6. A player shall be considered ineligible and their account will be closed if the TEL determines that a player does not meet all player eligibility requirements, has multiple accounts or provided false information.
    7. A player may cancel his or her account at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Cancel Membership” option. Upon cancellation, any VIP Rewards Points in the players account will be deleted.
    8. Entries into VIP Rewards are not maintained on a historical basis. Only entries eligible for a drawing are maintained in VIP Rewards. The TEL is unable to, and will not, provide VIP Rewards Members with a list of tickets entered into VIP Rewards. If you believe that you may require a list of tickets purchased for such purpose, you should maintain that list and not rely on the TEL to provide it.
  7. Entering Tickets
    1. Instant Tickets.
      1. Eligible non-winning instant tickets must be entered on the Website or Mobile App to receive Points.
      2. Once logged in, a player submits an eligible non-winning instant ticket according to the instructions on the “Enter Tickets” page of the Website or uses the Mobile App to scan the ticket. Information from the ticket required to be entered includes:
        1. The Ticket Number, which is located on the back of each ticket above the barcode. The Ticket Number contains either twelve (12) digits separated by dashes in the form XXX-XXXXXX-XXX or thirteen (13) digits separated by dashes in the form XXXX-XXXXXX-XXX.
        2. The Entry Number, which is located on the front of the ticket underneath the scratch-off covering. The Entry Number contains ten (10) digits.
      3. Once the eligible non-winning instant ticket has been submitted, the associated VIP Rewards Points and the entry into Play It Again! and/or a Second Chance Drawings cannot be canceled. The TEL assumes no responsibility for incorrect information provided by a player when entering ticket information.
    2. Drawing-Style Game Tickets.
      1. Tickets for eligible drawing-style games must be entered on the Website or Mobile App to receive Points.

Required entry information from the ticket includes the 25-digit web code found at the bottom of the front of the ticket. The web code shall consist of five (5) sets of five (5) letters and numbers in the format XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.
      3. Once the drawing-style game ticket has been submitted, the associated VIP Rewards Points cannot be canceled. The TEL assumes no responsibility for incorrect information provided or typographical errors made by a player when entering ticket information.
  8. VIP REWARDS Drawings.
    1. A player may use some or all of his or her Points for entry into VIP Rewards Drawings. The Website and Mobile App will include a description of the item or product to be awarded in the VIP Rewards Drawing, anticipated entry and draw dates, and the amount or number of Points required for each entry into a VIP Rewards Drawing. Entry deadline dates, draw dates and the number of drawings are subject to change as determined necessary by the TEL. The TEL will attempt to post all changes to scheduled VIP Rewards Drawing dates on the Website and Mobile App.
    2. The TEL may determine, in its sole discretion, which type of tickets, instant, drawing-style or both, may be used to enter specific VIP Rewards Drawings.
    3. Points redeemed for VIP Rewards Drawings earn entry into the drawing. The odds of winning a prize in each VIP Rewards Drawing depend upon the number of entries through the redemption of Points by all players.
    4. The amount or number of Points necessary for an entry into a VIP Rewards Drawing will be shown on the page for each drawing and may vary by drawing.
    5. To use VIP Rewards Points to redeem entries into a VIP Rewards Drawing, a player must select the drawing on the Website or Mobile App that he or she wishes to enter, designate the quantity of entries, and submit the entry. A player may submit multiple entries into a VIP Rewards Drawing, unless otherwise specified on the Website or Mobile App.
    6. It is the player’s responsibility to ensure that the appropriate drawing and quantity are selected.
    7. Once the entry has been submitted, Points will be deducted from the player’s VIP Rewards Account and cannot be canceled or returned for the point value of the entries.
    8. VIP Rewards Drawing entries are eligible only for the drawing for which they were redeemed. Unless otherwise specified in the drawing description, VIP Rewards Drawings entries are eligible for one (1) drawing only.
    9. Unless otherwise specified on the Website or Mobile App, a player may win no more than one (1) prize in a VIP Rewards Drawing.
    10. The TEL shall attempt to contact each VIP Rewards Drawing winner by telephone and/or email by using the winner’s registered telephone number and/or email address, or by registered mail. By entering a VIP Rewards Drawing, you agree that the TEL may contact you by one of these methods if your entry is selected as a winning entry.
    11. The winner’s name and hometown will be published on the Website and on the Mobile App.
    12. A VIP Rewards Drawing winner assumes the risk of loss and is subject to disqualification if:
      1. The TEL is unable to contact the winner;
      2. Players account information is not current, accurate or correct;
      3. Contact or attempted contact is not acknowledged in a timely manner as determined in the sole discretion of the TEL;
      4. Any other deadline or requirement in these rules or other applicable rules or procedures is not met by the player; or
      5. A deadline or requirement is not met by the player, whether or not that requirement or deadline is contained in these Rules, on the Website or on the Mobile App.
    13. Prizes of $600 or more are subject to statutory withholdings and/or reporting. Statutory withholdings, include federal withholding tax and certain debts as defined by state law.
    14. A decision to replace a winner with an alternate is within the sole discretion and judgment of the Chief Executive Officer of the TEL (or such officer’s designee). Once the decision to proceed with an alternate is made, the person who previously was selected as the prize winner is no longer entitled to a prize.
    15. The TEL will not exchange a VIP Rewards Drawing merchandise prize for cash.
  9. Other Drawings.
    1. The TEL will conduct two (2) other types of drawings for which an entrant can register his or her eligible non-winning instant ticket. The drawings shall consist of Play It Again!
